My name is Heather Jarrett. I’m a 26 year old American who has spent much of the last 8 years researching nutrition and health, leading me to adopt a paleo lifestyle in January 2011. I named this blog The Paleo Exchange because the first few months (or years) of living this way is wrought with learning how to trade in a bad habit for a newer, better one. Margarine to butter. Low-fat chicken breasts to marbled steaks. Daily cardio to just one day of sprints per week. Chemical-laden personal hygiene products to simple, homemade ones. You get the idea; we’re changing a lot of stuff in our lives through our desire to be healthier and happier. The ancestral health movement is also very much about the exchange of ideas and information within this community of like-minded people.
I live in the Northeast of England with my partner and our son. In addition to paleo eating, we practice attachment parenting, cloth diapering and elimination communication.
